OPC is proud to actively support and be a part of the Canberra community.
OPC looks after the well-being of our team by providing opportunities to undertake community service. Volunteering makes you feel happier and healthier by connecting you with others and by bringing a sense of fun and fulfillment to your life. It expands your social circle, increases your social and relationship skills, helps counteract stress, anger and anxiety and provides a sense of purpose where one might be lacking.
OPC offers our team flextime on an hour for hour basis up to a max of 8 hours for community/charity service eg. Blood donations, first aid certification, participation in a charity or fundraising event, participation in provision of a community service.
OPC owners Brett and Cathy Norton have been raising funds for Camp Quality for over 10 years as part of the local SuperHeroesACT Team. Camp Quality’s programs help kids and their families battle cancer through fun therapy and education programs.
OPC are a proud ‘Room Partner’ at Ronald McDonald House – a home away from home for families of seriously ill babies and children.
Each year, OPC also hosts ‘Meals from the Heart’, which involves our staff cooking for the families who are staying in the house.
