Prime Minister of Australia

The objectives of this project were to redevelop the Prime Minster's website with the following features:

  • to provide the Prime Minister with a platform to engage directly with the public;
  • to allow non-technical staff to update the website content using the award winning Open Source CMS, Drupal;
  • to improve transparency; accountability and efficiency of government by utilizing Web 2.0 technologies.

Department of Finance and Deregulation

The objective of this project was to redevelop the Department’s website and incorporate a number of previously free-standing sites. The specific goals of the project can be summarised as follows:

  • redevelop the navigation to make it more usable, more accessible and more intuitive;
  • design a new look and feel;
  • increase discoverability of resources that were previously difficult to find;
  • re-purpose content to remove deprecated code and better comply with accepted web standards.

The Department of Finance and Deregulation engaged OPC to redevelop and integrate their Portfolio Minister’s websites. OPC undertook designing, building and migrating existing content from the previous websites. OPC maintains the websites and is continually making improvements.

Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council approached OPC to design and develop a website that would assist their members in keeping up to date with latest industry news as well as being an avenue for further education. OPC undertook the whole process of scoping, design, build and delivery and now maintains the website as requested with an OPC eBusiness Support Pak.

The Police Federation of Australia (PFA) website uses the Drupal open source Content Management System (CMS). The system allows PFA staff to update the site themselves without knowing HTML and includes modules that are restricted to members only.

National Police Memorial

The National Police Memorial was dedicated in September 2006. It honours Australian Police Officers who have died as a result of their duties.

The site features a photo gallery and a searchable honour roll.

Institute of Public Administration Australia

The ACT Division of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) needed a website to communicate with their members and the general public.

The site incorporates an e-commerce facility that allows users to join or renew their membership and to register for events and purchase magazine subscriptions.

Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia

The Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) is the peak, national, non-government organisation representing the interests of the Australian alcohol and other drugs sector.

Their website allows users to subscribe to publications and features a members section for document sharing. It also features a large drug database from which users can request publications.

Cattle Council of Australia

The Cattle Council of Australia is the peak producer organisation representing Australia's beef cattle producers.

Their website is an important communication tool because of the widely dispersed audience that they represent.

Cattle Council staff update the site themselves using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS).

Marist College Canberra

Developed using the award winning Drupal CMS, the site redevelopment gave the Marist College Canberra website a more modern look and feel, whilst at the same time adding new functionality and the ability for staff and students to update their website in-house.
